ABOUT KEVIN BROWN

My name is Kevin Brown, and I am humbled and honored to be a candidate for NAR First Vice President in 2024. I am a second-generation real estate broker and member and I own and manage the family business that my father started over 55 years ago. My family’s service to our profession runs deep and I fully understand how this organization has protected our interests. My mother and father built our first family home, and that homeownership experience impacted my life in so many positive ways. It is one of the reasons I chose real estate as my career. 

Today, we see tremendous opportunities for our industry and our profession, and we are faced with new issues that pose an existential threat to our business. I am familiar with the complex breadth and scope of our industry. I have a deep understanding of the moving parts and necessary relationships that make up our real estate ecosystem. I was president of the largest state trade association in 2014 as we recovered from the most significant economic downturn in our lifetimes. I worked together with our state association and NAR to craft meaningful solutions to the problems that were ailing our industry. I was invited to the first meeting with the newly appointed FHFA director and our NAR President in 2014 to ask the director to halt G-Fee increases. I testified before Congress on behalf of NAR on three separate policy issues. I have Chaired numerous NAR committees, served on multiple PAGs, was a Committee Liaison, and most recently in 2021 I was honored to serve as the REALTOR® Party Director. Experience matters; experience makes a difference.

As we navigate through the effects of rising interest rates, economic uncertainty, and a lack of inventory, I recognize that our members will be facing many pocketbook issues. I am well positioned to make a difference in the lives of our members and our industry. Real estate is the backbone of America’s economy and REALTORS® have helped move our country forward in the past. I helped facilitate an economic recovery as a state president and I am prepared to lead the charge once again at the national level. I am seeking to earn your support and your vote.
